My goodness, I ache this morning! But I am not complaining because it is due to the wonderful day I had yesterday.

I went with my daughter, granddaughter and her fiance to Harwich in ~Essex to see my other three grandchildren (their mother died just over two years ago), they have just moved into a new house, a lovely country style cottage.  My 16 yeaqr old grandson has chosen the huge attic room, a real batchelor's pad, with lovely views over the harbour.

We went to the beach and had a great barbecue, it was very hot  with a lovely breeze, this time I remembered to take my sun cream so I am not burning this morning.  The beach was deserted the only drawback was the rather tricky path to get to it, it is a favourite retreat of my grandchildren, they originally found it by exploring down a narrow country lane.

Back down to earth today, I missed doing my weekly shopping yesterday so have to do it today instead, it is going to be very hot today so the forecasters say, and humid too.  I am off to drag my aching bones around Tesco now.
